Mission Statement:
To provide
services to the business community of Wisner to assist and promote
the
endeavors of each individual business.
In March 2000, the Wisner Chamber of Commerce had to determine it's own future. There were two choices: to continue functioning as a Chamber with revitalization or to close the door on the Chamber. A group of community businessmen and women felt the Chamber was still a necessary part of our community and organized a strategic planning session. This session was held and facilitated by Mary Plettner of NPPD and Cheryl Brandenburgh of the Nebraska Economic Development. Three goals were formulated for the Chamber: Education, Positive Image and Business Promotion.

Membership:
One free advertisement in the Community Calendar - The calendar will include community events and also events, promotions, and specials at individual businesses.
Chamber Newsletter - Each member will receive the Chamber newsletter. These will be mailed to businesses in the community and outside the community also.
Educational Seminars - The Chamber is planning to have approximately three educational seminars a year . . . free for Chamber members. Non-members will pay a fee. Possible topics may include customer and public relations, marketing or advertising.
Social Events - We are also planning social events such as business coffees, business-after-hours, holiday parties and seasonal outings. Some of these events will be for Chamber members only. Plan a little extra time to get to know other businesses in the community.
Bulk Mail Permit - The Chamber
has purchased a bulk mail permit. For an annual fee of $25 or a one-time
usage of $10 you will have the opportunity to send any large mailings at the
reduced bulk mail permit cost per individual item.
Education Committee - To promote, educate and communicate with area Chamber businesses.
Positive Image Committee - To increase awareness of the Chamber and to help promote the benefits of Chamber membership. This group will promote a positive image of our community.
Business Promotion Committee - To coordinate and promote business sales and services through the Chamber.
